Day-by-Day Itinerary
Depart Nairobi after an early breakfast. Your driver-guide will collect you from your hotel or designated pick-up point for the scenic 4–5 hour drive south toward Amboseli National Park, passing through the Kenyan countryside.
Arrive at your lodge or camp in Amboseli and enjoy a welcome lunch. Options include Amboseli Serena Safari Lodge, Tortilis Camp, or Kibo Safari Camp. Settle in and prepare for your first game drive.
Head out across Amboseli's open plains for your first game drive. Look for large elephant herds moving through the grassland, breathtaking views of Mount Kilimanjaro, and diverse wildlife including lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, and hippos around the swamps.
Return to the lodge for dinner as the sun sets behind Kilimanjaro. Relax and enjoy the ambience of one of Africa's most iconic safari destinations.
Rise early for Amboseli at its most magical — the golden hour when morning light illuminates Kilimanjaro and wildlife is at its most active. Watch elephants moving across the plains, predators returning from the night, and the sky turning spectacular shades above the mountain.
Return to the lodge for a hearty breakfast. Take time to relax, enjoy the views from the lodge, or take a gentle nature walk around the lodge area with your guide.
Choose between a second afternoon game drive exploring more of Amboseli's wildlife and landscapes, or an optional cultural visit to a nearby Maasai village — a fascinating and genuine introduction to the traditions, beadwork, and way of life of one of East Africa's most iconic peoples.
Return to the lodge for dinner under a spectacular African sky — your second night in Amboseli with Kilimanjaro glowing in the dusk.
Enjoy breakfast at the lodge, check out, and depart Amboseli for Lake Naivasha — an approximately 5–6 hour scenic drive through the Great Rift Valley, with dramatic escarpment views as you travel north.
Arrive at Lake Naivasha in time for a welcome lunch at your lodge or hotel by the lake. The shift from Amboseli's dry savannah to Naivasha's lush green shoreline is a beautiful contrast.
Board a boat for a leisurely lake safari. Glide past hippos wallowing in the shallows, watch fish eagles diving from their perches, and admire the rich variety of waterbirds and wildlife along the papyrus-fringed shores — buffaloes, waterbuck, and giraffes can often be spotted close to the water's edge.
Step onto Crescent Island for a guided walking safari among giraffes, zebras, impalas, and antelopes roaming freely. One of the most intimate wildlife experiences in Kenya — no fence, no vehicle, just you and Africa's animals.
Return to your lakeside lodge for dinner, with the sounds of hippos grazing on the shore as your evening soundtrack.
An optional early morning birdwatching session or gentle nature walk around the lake — Lake Naivasha's shoreline is extraordinary at dawn, with fish eagles calling and pelicans gliding above the still water.
Enjoy your final safari breakfast at the lodge, check out, and prepare for the short and scenic drive back to Nairobi — approximately 1.5 to 2 hours through the Rift Valley escarpment.
Arrive in Nairobi in the late morning. Time permitting, visit local markets or craft shops for souvenirs and last-minute gifts to take home — your guide can suggest the best spots.
Transfer to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your onward journey, with your Amboseli elephants and Naivasha's peaceful lake firmly fixed in memory. Safari njema — safe travels!

What to Know Before You Go
Most travelers require Kenya's eTA (Electronic Travel Authorisation). Apply online before your trip — have your passport, accommodation details, and travel information ready well in advance of departure.
Both destinations are in malaria zones. Consult a medical professional before travel. Ensure vaccinations are current and carry personal medication and a basic first-aid kit.
Amboseli is excellent year-round. The dry seasons (June–October and January–February) deliver the clearest Kilimanjaro views and best wildlife concentration around the swamps.
Hell's Gate cycling and Mount Longonot hiking are optional add-ons available on Day 4 morning if time allows, or can be added to Day 3 upon request. Let us know when booking.
