Day-by-Day Itinerary
Depart Nairobi for Amboseli National Park — a scenic drive of approximately 4 hours (240 km) through the Kenyan countryside. Your professional driver-guide will collect you from your hotel or designated meeting point.
Arrive at Amboseli and check into your lodge or camp — options include Amboseli Serena Safari Lodge, Tortilis Camp, or Kibo Safari Camp. Enjoy a welcome lunch before the afternoon adventure begins.
Head out for your first game drive across Amboseli's open plains. The park is world-famous for its large elephant herds and the breathtaking views of Mount Kilimanjaro rising above the savannah. Look out also for lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, and rich birdlife.
Return to the lodge for dinner. Relax and enjoy the amenities. A night game drive is available at select lodges if you'd like to explore after dark.
Rise early for Amboseli at its most magical — the soft golden light of sunrise illuminates Kilimanjaro and brings the plains alive with wildlife. An ideal time to photograph elephants and spot predators returning from the night's hunt.
Return to the lodge for breakfast, check out, and depart for Tsavo West National Park — approximately a 2–3 hour drive (150 km) through changing landscapes.
Arrive at Tsavo West and check into your lodge — choices include Kilaguni Serena Safari Lodge, Severin Safari Camp, or Finch Hattons. After lunch, head out to explore the park's dramatic landscapes: the Shetani Lava Flow and the famous Mzima Springs, where you can observe hippos and crocodiles from an underwater viewing chamber.
Return to the lodge for dinner. Enjoy the lodge's amenities under a spectacular African sky. Night game drives may be available on request.
Begin with a morning game drive visiting the Ngulia Rhino Sanctuary, home to around 80 endangered black rhinos. A rare and extraordinary encounter with one of Africa's most threatened animals. Continue through the scenic Chyulu Hills area before returning to the lodge.
Enjoy your final safari breakfast, check out of the lodge, and prepare for the scenic drive back to Nairobi through Tsavo's distinctive red-dust landscapes.
Stop for lunch at a selected restaurant along the way. Continue the journey back to Nairobi, arriving in the afternoon for drop-off at your hotel or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.

Most travelers require Kenya's eTA (Electronic Travel Authorisation). Apply online before departure and have your passport, travel details, and accommodation information ready.
Both parks are in malaria zones — consult a medical professional before travel. Ensure vaccinations are current and bring personal medication and a basic first-aid kit.
Both parks are rewarding year-round. The dry seasons (June–October and January–February) deliver the best game viewing and clearest Kilimanjaro views in Amboseli.
The Ngulia Rhino Sanctuary requires specific timings. Your guide will plan the morning drive to maximise your chances of seeing black rhinos in their protected habitat.
