Arrive in Nairobi and be met by your Phronesis Travel representative. After a warm welcome and a brief orientation, board your private 4x4 safari vehicle and depart directly for Amboseli National Park — approximately 4 hours south of Nairobi through the Kenyan countryside.
Arrive at your lodge or camp inside Amboseli and enjoy a sumptuous welcome lunch. Check in, freshen up, and take in the magnificent setting — with Kilimanjaro often visible from the lodge grounds themselves.
Your very first game drive in Amboseli introduces you to the park's extraordinary wildlife. Look out for elephant herds moving across the plains, lions resting in the shade, giraffes browsing acacia tops, zebras and wildebeest, and Kilimanjaro dominating the horizon on a clear day.
Return to your lodge for a delicious dinner. A perfect first evening in one of Africa's most celebrated national parks.
Rise with the sun for a magical early morning game drive — the best time to witness wildlife waking up, predators still active, and Kilimanjaro at its most photogenic in the golden hour light. Elephants are often seen moving towards the swamps at this time.
Return for a hearty breakfast. Afterwards choose between a guided nature walk around the lodge area, or an optional visit to a local Maasai village to experience their culture — traditional dances, beadwork, community stories, and the chance to learn how Maasai people have coexisted with wildlife for centuries.
Head out for another game drive into a different part of the park, or take leisure time at the lodge — relax by the pool, enjoy the views, and savour the pace of a genuine African safari day.

Venture into a different area of Amboseli for your morning game drive — exploring the park's varied habitats including open grassland, acacia woodland, and the marshes and swamps that attract concentrated wildlife. Look for lions, cheetahs, buffalo, and the park's renowned elephant tuskers.
Return to the lodge for breakfast, then head to Observation Hill — Amboseli's most famous viewpoint. Climb to the summit for sweeping 360-degree panoramas of the entire park, the swamps teeming with wildlife below, and the full scale of Kilimanjaro filling the sky above.
The afternoon is yours to enjoy at a relaxed pace. Dedicated birdwatching around the swamps and lodge grounds offers pelicans, herons, kingfishers, hammerkops, and many of Amboseli's 47 raptor species. Or simply relax and absorb the tranquil beauty of the park.
Your third evening in Amboseli — a perfect time to review your photographs, share stories, and reflect on three extraordinary days in this remarkable wilderness.
One last early morning game drive — a final opportunity to capture missed sightings, say farewell to Amboseli's elephants beneath Kilimanjaro, and soak in the beauty of this extraordinary park before departure. A sunrise drive on your last morning is a memory you will carry forever.
Return to the lodge for your final breakfast. Check out, settle any extras, and prepare for the drive back to Nairobi — approximately 4 hours through the Kenyan countryside.
Stop at a selected restaurant en route for a final Kenyan lunch. Continue into Nairobi arriving in the early afternoon.
Transfer directly to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your departure flight. Your 4-day Amboseli safari concludes here — safari njema, safe travels, and we hope to welcome you back to Kenya again soon.

Amboseli is in a malaria zone. Consult a medical professional before travel, ensure vaccinations are current, and bring personal medication and a basic first-aid kit for the safari.
Amboseli is rewarding year-round. Dry seasons (June–October and January–February) deliver the clearest Kilimanjaro views and best wildlife visibility. The wet seasons bring lush green landscapes and fewer crowds.
