Kenya safari FAQs

How much does a Kenya safari cost?

Our Kenya safari packages start from US$990 per person for a 3-day Samburu safari. A 4-day Masai Mara safari starts from US$1,314, a 7-day safari from US$2,725 and our 12-day Ultimate Kenya Safari from US$5,489 per person. The final price depends on the season, your lodges and group size.

What is the best time to go on a safari in Kenya?

June to October is the peak dry season and the best time for the Great Migration in the Masai Mara, usually July to October. January to March is also excellent. November to May is greener, quieter and good for birdwatching.

How many days do I need for a Kenya safari?

Three to four days is enough for one park such as the Masai Mara or Amboseli. Five to seven days lets you combine two to four parks, and 10 to 12 days covers northern Kenya, the Rift Valley lakes and the Masai Mara.

Can I customise a safari package?

Yes. Every itinerary can be changed: dates, parks, lodges and pace. Send us your plans and our Nairobi team will tailor a route and quote for you.

What should I pack for a Kenya safari?

Neutral-coloured, lightweight clothing, a warm layer for early game drives, comfortable shoes, a sun hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, binoculars and your camera. We send a full packing list after you book.

How do I book a Kenya safari with Phronesis Tours?
